Born and raised in Los Angeles, Liz is an alumnus of California State University Northridge with a BA in Communications Studies and Women’s Studies. She started her career in hospitality at just 15 years old, gaining ever more experience and insight along the way. She still fondly recalls the first wine list that caught her eye. Learning the individual stories of the wines, regions, and producers to enhance her guests’ experience was a revelation and she hasn’t stopped since! In 2014, Liz focused this experience to become a sommelier for notable LA outposts: Wally’s Beverly Hills, The Ponte & Faith, and Flower. Interested in mastering all aspects of the wine business, Liz has also spent time as Manager & Imports Buyer at Lincoln Fine Wines in Venice, while doing freelance wine consulting and sommelier services for private clients. In 2018, Liz became the Beverage Director at Craft LA, putting her unique spin on our wine list and bar program. In her role, Liz strives to represent boutique, independent and small producers, women entrepreneurs and winemakers, and offer wines and spirits made with integrity, intention, and honesty. Combining her passion for communication and education, Liz also strives to educate our staff and guests on the exciting offerings at Craft LA whenever possible. She is currently studying for her Advanced Sommelier Certification with The Court of Master Sommeliers. When not at Craft, you can find Liz hiking or biking around Los Angeles, cooking at home, or planning her next wine region adventure!
